Our Philosophy

We don’t believe sustainability should feel like a sacrifice. It should feel like an upgrade.

Upcyx exists to eliminate waste at its source. We’re challenging the idea that waste is inevitable by turning overlooked materials into products people actually want to use.

Our approach is simple: design waste out of the life cycle of every product and every package. We’re starting with paper and packaging because the world uses so much of it and because meaningful change starts where impact is highest.

We believe responsible products can be affordable, ethical, durable, and beautiful. Sustainability isn’t a feature –  it’s the standard.

Founded by engineers Christoph Bruehl and Wayne Jackson, Upcyx is a registered Alberta corporation based in Airdrie, Western Canada.
