We are back in the lab.
The team is working on the final formulation of our hemp biocomposite, developed with home compostability in mind. We are now at the pre-commercial stage and preparing to produce roughly 1,000 kg of material, ready for a range of applications.
Some of that work happens at the Government of Alberta's Bio Processing Innovation Centre, where our partners have set up to follow the material development day to day. Early mornings and late nights, one step at a time.
The material blends hemp bast and hurd with a bio-polymer and bio-additives, and it is headed for 3D printing filament and injection molding pellets under our own brand, Convergence Composites.
