Upcyx started with the goal of making hemp paper. So we asked a team member, Conner Strutzel, a simple question: what would you do with it?
His answer is Sazzy Cards, our greeting card project, which launched at the start of April on Hemp Heritage™ paper. Orders started rolling in right away, and the collection keeps growing.
Why greeting cards?
Cards are a high-volume paper product, which makes them a great place to put hemp to work. Every card carries long hemp bast fibre, and when it is recycled, that fibre goes into the stream and helps the next sheet of recycled paper hold together. It is also our first real step into selling directly to consumers.
The goal: a stronger paper recycling system, and a belly full of laughs along the way.
